About the collection

About the collection

Noir Allure is a photographic series blurring the line between high-fashion editorial and fetish aesthetics. This series explores the power of contrast: soft skin against rigid leather, shadow against gloss, and vulnerability paired with undeniable authority. It is a tribute to the modern woman: bold, mysterious, and beautifully untamed.

Each print is produced individually on Canson Infinity Rag Photographique II paper using archival pigment inks, preserving the tonal depth, contrast, and subtle nuances of the original photograph. Please note the sizes of the paper since the prints come with a white border.

Each artwork is released in a limited edition and is hand signed and individually numbered and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS

01

What is the story behind this collection?

This collection of photographs is exploring the boundary between sensual elegance, dark aesthetics, and fearless fashion. For this collection I created carefully prepared concepts and settings. This series is a continuous project since 2020 and part of the pictures in this collection are collected in the book 'Dressed'.

Although there is nudity in this collection, this collection is mainly about clothes. Clothes used in a conceptual way. I’ve tried hard to not make it about one thing. Not just fashion and not just fetish. It’s where these worlds collide that things get interesting.

Art and sensuality have always been a difficult marriage for society. From religious institutions to decent French art lovers in the 1920s. Society has had and still has difficulties with women expressing their sensuality. Equality will only be reached when women can express their sexuality as they please without judgment from society. I believe these images of women are in no way reductive. I would argue these images do the opposite. They encourage women to explore their sensuality as they please. I have only been able to make this body of work because of the openness and progressiveness of the models I worked with.

02

How rare are these prints?

Each image is strictly limited to be available with a maximum edition of 25 copies + artist copies. Once the 25th print is sold that specific edition is permanently retired. It will never be offered in this format or framing style again. Artist copies will never be sold only used for exhibiting the work.

03

How is the authenticity verified?

Every print is accompanied by a hand-signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. This document serves as your proof of provenance, detailing the edition number (e.g., 4/25), the paper specifications, and the date of production.

How are these photographs framed?

You can also choose a classically framed picture. I use black or white, lacquered wooden frames of the highest quality (see examples in the slide show) all custom made for each print. The photo mount, glass and hanging system are all made from high-grade materials, so the frames are more than able to withstand the ravages of time. Note that all framed pictures are custom made and therefore cannot be returned, see my terms and conditions and shipping and returns terms.
